Bitterbridge is the seat of House Caswell, and located along the Mander where the Roseroad crosses. It is named after the old stone bridge that spans the river. House Caswell is a noble but minor house sworn to the Tyrells. Their sigil is a yellow centaur with bow on white. Bitterbridge marks the extent of the ironborn reavers ability to terrorize The Reach, perhaps due to the physical characteristics of the Mander at that point, which is muddy, or that the bridge is not tall enough to allow ironborn ships to pass beneath.

== Features ==
* House Caswell Castle: A modest castle, made of stone and timber. Lord Caswell hosted Renly Baratheon and his army for a few days, but was anxious to see them off because of the considerable expense.
* The Old Stone Bridge: An important crossing of the Mander, where the Rose Road turns south toward Highgarden. This bridge may also have provided a barrier against raids from the ironborn.
* Tournament Grounds: Near the castle are small tourney grounds.

== Construction ==
Bitterbridge was constructed in late August 2012 by PJAxel1927, an earlier build in the region which may need updating in the future to match other local builds, and new blocks and texture packs.

== Inspiration ==
PJAxel1927 used Runkel Castle, Germany (pictured) as inspiration, but shortened the towers and reduced the size of the castle because Bitterbridge castle is situated on low, flat, land, which makes it appear taller naturally.
